Delaney - Biography
Originally intending to create illustrations
for her children's stories, Ms. Delaney initiated a voyage
of self-discovery through her studies at Dominican University
(BA, 1998) and the School of the Art Institute Chicago
(BFA, 2000). She has traveled to study Renaissance Art in Florence,
Italy and spent three months in Merida, Mexico studying
ancient Mayan cultures and the influences of Spanish art in
the area. In
addition to being a full time artist, Laurel maintains
a studio/workshop in Riverside, IL and teaches encaustic wax
workshops there for the R&F Paint Company in Kingston,
NY.

and emceed event with local personalities and artists working
together to create unique works of art. Final works were live
auctioned for various local charities.
